TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This 2019-2020 school year marks my 13th year in the classroom as a special education teacher. Over the years, I have been fortunate to teach in three different school districts. I have also been fortunate enough to have experience teaching at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. Between 2007- 2017, I was a middle school and high school emotional support resource teacher for 3 years, an elementary learning support resource teacher for 5 years (2 of those years I was also a co-teacher), and a middle school co-teacher for 2 years. Since 2017, I have been a high school learning support resource teacher and a co-teacher.

MY TEACHING STYLE

"If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn."

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

In 2007, I received Bachelors Degrees in both Elementary Education (K-6) and Education of Exceptional Persons (N-12). I am also certified Middle School English Language Arts and Middle School Math.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

When I am not in my classroom, you can find me with my family and closest friends, working out at the gym, running a 5k somewhere, feeding my shopping addiction, watching obnoxious amounts of Netflix, or most importantly spending quality time with my Yorkie-ton, Charley... and his furry brothers on our farm.
