I have been a K-8 Teacher for 12 years. I was in the classroom for 8 of those years, teaching Kindergarten, third, fourth, and fifth grade. For the last four years, I have been an EdTech TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) supporting classroom teachers with technology and STEM. This upcoming school year (2019/2020) I will be returning to the classroom as a third grade ELA teacher.
My teaching style is student-driven. I believe that students should be in the driver seat of their education, and should have the opportunity to pursue learning in their own way.
I am Level 2 Google Certified, PLTW Launch Lead Teacher Certified, and was selecting as the San Diego Computer Using Educator "TOSA" of the year in 2017.
I grew up and went to school (K-12) in Vista, CA. I pursued my college education in San Marcos, as CUSM. I also received my teaching credential and Master's Degree in Education from CSUSM.
