Students will be asked to provide the letter or the ordered pair for 24 different points. Each slide will spell a math word when it is complete. I have included some ordered pairs that include fractions in this series of problems. I have included an instructional video on how to complete this activity. Ratios and Rates: Type it! Distance Learning Activity
In this activity, your students will be asked to solve several ratios and rate questions. I know that my students struggle with figuring out where each number from the word problem should fit into a proportion. I have given them a few clues to help students along the way. Expression, Equations, Inequalities: Which one am I? Distance Learning activity
The students will have examples to use as they compare various expressions, equations, and inequalities. I created this activity so that I would be able to see which students get the difference or not between each form. I have also asked students to tell me if the problem is numerical, algebraic or verbal. Color It Math: Multiplying Integers Distance Learning
Students will complete each multiplication of integers questions. Once they have the answer, they will drag a red circle over their chosen answer. Then the student can color the puzzle to match the color of their answer. I have included a "how-to" video and an answer key for this puzzle. My students loved anything they can do digitally. I have used GOOGLE slides to create this activity. Plus they don't have to worry about missing colors since it is all digital.

Color Me Integers: Adding and Subtracting Distance Learning
Students will solve each problem and will type their answers into a box that is provided. They will then color the boxes to show the range their answer would fall. I have created a video on how to change the color of each box after they have solved the various problems. I have also included a student copy and a teacher copy of this file. I wanted this activity to be user friendly. My students love working with my color activities.

One Step Equations: Drag and Drops Distance Learning Activities

Opposite Number Line: Drag and Spell
In the following activity, students will fill in a chart showing the opposite of a given value. They will then graph both values on a number line and type in the letter given next to each. If the activity is correct, the answers will spell a word that has to do with rational numbers. This is a GOOGLE SLIDES activity and students can easily share it with their teacher. Cootie Catcher Game
This game works with any topic. The students will fold the game. It works just like any cootie catcher, but instead of having questions inside the catcher, they are on the board or a set of task cards. If a student gets a question correct, they will pick a color and then a number. You will need to roll a dice to see what happens next. The second page helps them figure out the scoring of the game. I usually play until the class is over.

Color Me Math: Percent of the Shape Distance Learning Activity

Divisible or not??? Color Me Activity - Distance Learning Activity
Kids love coloring anything, even on a computer. Students will be coloring the blocks to show if it is divisible by the standard factors of 10 and below. I have provided 16 questions for the students to work and I have provided an instructional video on how to "color" the blocks and an answer key for teachers. I love this activity since my students don't usually have that shade of crayons or markers.

Proportions: Which one am I?
I created these posters for my students. They were struggling with telling the difference between the various types of proportions. I have created notes from them to copy on the blank forms of these posters. I gave my students 4 different colors to write with to complete the assignment. My students loved these posters. I have tried to find a way to create some common traits between the various forms of proportions. I hope this set 7 small poster helps your students as it has my students.

Order of Operations Weekly Practice
I have created an activity called "Can you make this number?" When I use this with my students, I give them 5 minutes to create as many equations that they can that hit the number listed. They must use order-of-operations to solve for the number. I usually have them star 4 of them and trade with a partner. Welcome to Mrs. Swygard's Class website! I am so excited to be working with your child! I wanted to tell you about myself.
I have been teaching for over 20 years.
I am certified to teach K-12 mathematics and have taught grades 1st through 12th in mathematics at various times in my career.
I have my master's degree in Administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan. I am currently certified in Texas and Oklahoma.
I love history and I am always sharing bits and pieces with my students.
I have created over 62 videos for your child which we will share as the year progresses.
I have hosted a flipped classroom for 4 years in Oklahoma and am excited to start one this year with my current Pre-AP students.
I feel that a flipped classroom helps my parents feel like they can "help" their student be success.
