Parallel Lines and Angle Relationships City Design Project

Created by
Pachy San Store
I have used this project to help students learn about parallel lines and angle relationships formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal. You can use it as an internet activity with dragging icons and lines onto the page on page #5 or a paper copy activity on page 4 and page 6. It's really fun and interactive for all students. Thank you! I added 2 examples of the paper copy of the project.

My Marvelous Map Project

This fun, hands-on math project allows students the opportunity to show what they know about their geometric math terms. They are to research U.S. interstates, famous landmarks, and rivers to display the different geometric terms they have learned. For example, the columns of The White House, in Washington, D.C., display parallel lines. You are going to create an interstate map of the United States representing our geometric vocabulary terms. You may create your project on poster board, card

There are 2 versions included (I updated the original to be more Common Core focused). The task includes artistic practice with line of symmetry, parallel lines, perpendicular lines and real life examples of symmetry. This works well with 3rd-5th graders.
