Problem Solving Document for teachers and a blank for students
This walks students through what the operations do in math, not using code words. My students use this when solving word problems. We go through this as we introduce the operations in word problems. We fill out an anchor chart and we spend a lot of time discussing what the operations mean. I have a blank copy for the students and have included a copy filled out for you to adjust as needed. Multiplication/Division Math Strategy Worksheet
With the Common Core guidelines of learning at least two strategies to solve a math problem, this worksheet gives students a quicker means to find the answer. This worksheet help students learn with three different strategies - equal groups, number line, and arrays. I printed enough for all my students and laminated them so that they were reusable using a dry erase marker.

Have students use this chart to find the clue words for word problems. Students can use this in conjuction with my Word Problem Chart that organizes their word problem and makes it easier to solve. Laminate and have students place this sheet in their math folder!

First Day Transportation
Transportation home those first few days of school can be hectic. I have created a transportation sheet that parents can sign when they come to our Orientation with their child and bring their supplies. It doesn't solve all those issues, but it sure helped last year! I left it in Word so that you can modify it to fit your needs!

Password to Enter Classroom
A motivational tool that incorporates daily practice and rehearsal of basic facts. Post password on classroom door. Students are required to whisper the password each morning as they enter. If students do not know the password they move to the end of the line to provide time to solve or I have them repeat the entire equation three times.

Graphing Multiplication Success
It's difficult to teach students higher level math when they don't know their basic facts. How can you hold kids accountable and motivate them to practice their math facts?
