At the beginning of the year, I have students take this 'assessment' to determine their learning style. They take a 'quiz' to see where they fall and then apply that information to how it can be useful in my class. Throughout the year we will return to this to reflect on our learning.

Weekly assignment sheets are given to students to help train them to be organized. It is also an excellent communication between teacher and parent. Because students have to get them signed, parents can't claim they didn't know about the test, quiz, whatever! Use year after year, just make changes as needed. Ms. Barkdoll promises parents on Open House night that their children will finally learn to be organized! Also serves as a lesson plan for my principal.
