I put it in their center folder and it keeps a great running record and visual record of their progress. We have a big emphasis on students becoming responsible for their learning and this tool helps them see how they really are doing. We have discussions from time to time and the student explains what they see on the graph to me.

Do you have students that ask you questions the minute they walk in class without checking the board? If so, this poster should help! I have students that ask me questions all the time before looking at the board or the agenda. And other students that will ask questions about their low grade without checking what they might be missing! Because of that, I have created a simple "Questions You May Have" sheet that I have them look at before asking me anything.
