Kids record their learning target daily and reflect on their math in writing daily! This has greatly helped me organize workshop, help children stay accountable of their learning, and add that reflection/writing piece that is missing from Everyday Math! Schools in the DOE are moving towards having student-led parent-teacher conferences. For my class, I have made a Goal Chart for both ELA and Math. Students will be able to see where they are now, and where they would like to go. Using this outline, they will be able to brainstorm ways they can achieve their goals. I will be using them in my classroom so that my students can know what their goals are at all times. I'm hoping this will help them focus on where they are now and what they can do
