This project has students designing their dream home! They must design and draw their home, with whatever crazy rooms they want (there is a minimum set for the project). When they are done, they are to find the area and perimeter of each room, then, using ads from the hardware stores, select flooring and find the cost of flooring for each room. This project has students using graph paper, adding, multiplying, and finding area and perimeter of rectangles and squares.
