Have the child write numbers in numerical order, starting with 0 on a the single unit strips; once they get to 9, have them graduate up to the 10's strip paper and tape it to the previous strip. As they build their numbers, have them tape their strips and graduate up to the 100's and 1000's strips as needed. This work can go as high as the child wishes to count and can always be returned to throughout the year to add additional strips.
