In-Class Video Permission slip
You can use this freebie to keep track of parental permission for students to watch movies in class that might be outside of their age range. The permission slip explains the academic reasoning and benefit to the movie being shown. There is space to be able to provide the movie rating and the reason.
This permission slip also informs the parents that if they do not comply with their student viewing the film, the student will be provided with an alternate, but relevant assignment.

Parent-Teacher Conference Form for Foreign Language Teachers
Easy-to-use form for planning parent-teacher conferences.
Includes space for student info, current grades, notes on behavior and use of the language, as well as space for me to add post-conference notes and info about a plan going forward.
I fill out the first three sections myself, make a copy, and give the parent the original.
The language used matches our school's grading policy, but it's a Word document, so feel free to change the language I use.

Open House can be stressful. What do parents want to know? How do I talk to all of them?
I created this 9 slide Power Point that plays on a continuous loop as parents and students come in and out of my classroom on Meet the Teacher/Open House nights. It gives them some information they might want about me, and more importantly, about our classroom and how it runs. It takes just a couple of minutes to see everything and allows them to find out information without me having to repeat myself

Parent Introduction Letter for School Speech Therapists - English/Spanish
This letter is a brief memo you can send home with students at the beginning of the year or when they are added to your caseload. It introduces you to the parents and describes the days that you will be on campus and/or working with their children.
The top half of the letter is written in English, and the bottom half of the letter is written in Spanish, so parents in either an English-speaking or Spanish-speaking home can get to know you better!
