World War Two Fractions Code Breaking Lesson
My class loved this Enigma machine themed code breaking investigation. It requires pupils to be able to simplify fractions, compare fractions changing the denominator and adding fractions with the same and different denominators. A fun way to assess learning and links well to your history lesson if you're doing WW2. What is they participate throughout your lesson? Shouldn't they get credit with that too? After 30 years in this amazing career I firmly believe this is the correct way to assess students in a fair manner, while still showing how they're progressing in math.
