Multiplication Animal Challenge
This Mulitplication Challenge can be used to quiz your students on their multiplication facts. Print the quiz on the front and print the answer key --upside down-- on the back of the paper. This allows students to check thier own answers by simply folding the bottom or the top of the paper over to compare thier answers to the key. A little homework is available on the backside for students to practice just those facts that give them trouble.

World War Two Fractions Code Breaking Lesson
My class loved this Enigma machine themed code breaking investigation. It requires pupils to be able to simplify fractions, compare fractions changing the denominator and adding fractions with the same and different denominators. A fun way to assess learning and links well to your history lesson if you're doing WW2. Harry Potter Solve the Equation Spell Code
This is a game where students solve 1 and 2-step equations to find the letters that spell out Harry Potter spells based on the first story. It is mostly 2-step equations although there are a few 1-step to help make the worksheet realistic for a single class period. There are a few with negatives as well to give students further practice with negative rules. The answer key is the final page. It is set up to print in landscape mode, so if it downloads in portrait I suggest changing it to landscape
