Mr. Wendler has over 20 years of teaching experience at the junior level (grades 4 to 6). He is also an author and an artist... and his students would say he still has a lot of "kid" in him. Hmmm... does "avid gaming" count as experience?

Teaching style

Mr. Wendler's approach to teaching has always rallied around the idea that if the children are happy to be there, then no matter what or how you teach them, they will learn.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Mr. Wendler has won the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario's Curriculum Development Award, the OCDSB Film Festival Award for Best Film by a Group or Class... and when he was younger he was the National University Mascot Champion!

My own education history

Mr. Wendler has his honours degree from York University, his degree in Education from the University of Ottawa, and a variety of other courses he has taken over the years, ranging from dance, to art, to creative writing, physics, math... and recently gymnastics, of all things.

Mr. Wendler is also an author. He has written a wonderful children's book (perfect for the junior reader) that blends together his sense of humour and his love of the imagination, in one magical story...
