Students will use the Geologic Time Scale as a resource to answer the questions about earth's history. There are 13 questions, copy of a time scale, and answer key. Students will explore extinctions, periods, eras, glaciation and order of life on earth.

These 24 questions go with the Journey to the Center of the Earth movie released in 2008. All questions are science related and follow the order of the movie. There is a 3 page set of fill in questions for regular education students It also includes a four page multiple choice set of pages for special education students and a two page answer key. Topics include layers of the earth, minerals, and other general science topics.

They turn in a scale drawing, written description and magazine advertisement. Due to cost students do not actually make the invention but you could always add that if you wanted. This is a short lab to show the Law of Conservation of Mass. Students will measure corn starch and water and measure the masses. Although a fun new substance is made the mass will stay the same. There is a page with data table included and another copy where students must complete their own data table.

This lesson uses the Jason Digital Lab Coaster Creator to teach students about the transfer of potential and kinetic energy. Students will construct a roller coaster and then make modifications to improve the design. If the coaster does not have enough energy it will not make it to the end and too much energy will cause a crash.
