I have been teaching since 1998. I started teaching Title Math in the elementary and then moved to middle school science. I now teach a class where students travel virtually and learn about different regions, cultures, food, budgeting, etc. I have presented a session on differentiated learning at the NSTA conference the past 4 years.

This lesson uses the Jason Digital Lab Coaster Creator to teach students about the transfer of potential and kinetic energy. Students will construct a roller coaster and then make modifications to improve the design. If the coaster does not have enough energy it will not make it to the end and too much energy will cause a crash.
