This product was an invaluable resource when I created it for my ELL first graders. These students, and many of my native English speakers, struggle with how to differentiate between the question words. Now, they each have a laminated copy of this poster to use at the writing center. Great for Common Core "Ask and Answer Questions" standards at any age! Also great for science lessons.

This PowerPoint presentation is pre-loaded with one slide per day for 8 weeks. Each slide contains instructions for the morning along with a thought provoking creative writing prompt. The students love these! The daily slide is projected as students are coming into the room. The students get used to the routine and immediately grab their journals and get working. This vocabulary Graphic organizer is awesome for ELLs. It asks them to describe a new word using all five senses. I have used this organizer for all my students, gifted, ESE, ESOL, etc. They all love this break in the monotony of copying definitions into a vocabulary notebook.

This chart allows you to edit which positive behaviors you are looking for in a particular child (Ex. This is a blank/editable form to take attendance and lunch count each day. I copy a big stack and put them on a clip board, each day the students sign in as they come in the door. This way, I can quickly look over it once all the kids are here and send in my absences/lunch count.

This sign is a 4 page printable banner on Microsoft Publisher. I originally made this to display on the front of my bookcase where I have all of the current books we are studying. It is great to have a spot to display all the books you are currently studying and allow students to browse through them when finished with work.
