For students to get the most out of their learning, they need to learn how to learn and what they can put in place to optimise their learning. First, read through the slides together whilst students take draft notes. Next, use “The Difference Between Music Genres” to listen to different music types - identify which brainwaves they would spark. Lastly, students create an information poster about brainwaves, music and learning.

The vocabulary tree is made up of a trunk, branches and leaves. The trunk holds the root word, the branches hold words that contain the root word and the leaves are definitions of each word. Best used as a mini lesson first with the teacher and then in independent reading task time.

Teaching style

Facilitating the thinking process through a hands-on, minds-on approach. Looking into my classroom, you'd see students working at tables, on the floor, in groups or independently You'd hear working noise, laughter, brains ticking and you'd see me, assisting,encouraging, learning!
