Fractions on a number line can be confusing for students. This Power Point Presentation guides students, step by step, on how to recognize and generate fractions on a number line. Have students use white boards to be actively engaged in the lesson. Students will ONLY use number lines in this lesson no shapes. The slides are animated and allow for you present the information with reminders and helpful hits. There are information slides to teach students how to generate or recognize fractions

In this station, students are asked to use their knowledge of rounding to the nearest 10 and nearest 100 to sort number cards to the correct benchmark number. Understanding that numbers, across decades, round to the same benchmark, is a tough concept for many students. This will not only help them practice, but help you, as an educator, know who needs more help

After students understand the concept of odd and even, use this SmartBoard Notebook to help students think about these numbers in a different way.
