About the store

Experience

I have been a school psychologist for 23 years. It is an honor to support students' abilities to learn and teachers' abilities to teach. I have expertise in mental health learning, and behavior. I am currently the clinical director at a public day school to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments.

Teaching style

I believe all students can learn and all teachers can teach. It is my belief that all children and youth can face problems from time to time related to learning; social relationships; making difficult decisions; or managing emotions. It is my mission to help students, families, educators, and members of the community understand and resolve issues that students may face.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My greatest honor and award has been the work I have been blessed to do for 23 years. Working with special needs students is one of the most taxing professions, but one of the most rewarding!

My own education history

I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology. I have my Masters degree in Education. I have a Doctorate degree in Education specializing in social justice.

Additional biographical information

My life could not be complete without my family. My son who has taught me more about the struggles of students than any book could ever. My daughter who inspires me to be a better mom each day.
