My students are made aware of our school district's policies at the beginning of the year. They know the rules, and they also know the consequences. Like other teachers, I have my own set classroom rules, but this year I decided to make and implement my own set of classroom contracts. Classroom Contracts are designed to really re-inforce policies I have for my classroom, and to help me improve my classroom management. Completely overwhelming and lots of paperwork everywhere... that goes for myself AND the regular education teacher invited to the meeting.
