About the store
This 2025-2026 school year marks my 19th year in the classroom as a special education teacher. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to have experience teaching at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. I have been an emotional support teacher, a learning support teacher, and a co-teacher. I love creating resources for my classroom, that I can share here with all of you!

IEP Teacher Input Questionnaire + Google Form

*UPDATED APRIL 28TH, 2019*(I originally created this Teacher Input Questionnaire in 2014. Since then, I have included a Google Form and I have been tweaking it for my classroom use and I am finally uploading the updated form for all of you!)Preparing for an IEP report or any other evaluation report can be quite stressful and incredibly time consuming. Although I can’t make it easier for you – trust me I wish I could :) , I can at least provide you with a little bit of help when having to ask

Once students turn 14 they are invited to their IEP meeting and take on more of an active/vocal role. They also start planning for their life after high school - otherwise known as transition. However, when I was an elementary learning support teacher, I felt like my students should have a voice in their IEP planning process, as well as start thinking about what they want to do/become when they are older. Yes, I did this even with third graders. Since my time as a learning support elementary t

T-D-A. My learning support students would cringe when I said those three letters during ELA. Honestly, I would too! Having them read, and then re-read, and then make connections, and then state their claim, and then support their claim, and then turn all of that into a written response. Yikes! I didn't want my learning support students, or even the other students in the ELA room I co-teach in, to become discouraged and give up before they started - when having to answer a Text Dependent Analy

UPDATED 5/1/2020: Now includes link to Google Slides for digital use. I completely swoon over anchor charts I see teachers have in their classroom. It's like teacher artwork - haha, but they just aren't practical in my learning support classroom. Sure, I leave up charts and posters that benefit, in some way or another, all students who come to my learning support classroom, but sometimes I need for each of my students to have what anchor charts offer. UPDATED 8/6/2019*NOW WITH EDITABLE OPTIONS*Hello! The name says it all. This is a welcome letter and simple syllabus template to offer parents/guardians at the beginning of the school year, or even at open house! Please be aware that when I say "simple" I mean simple. I created this letter to be used for learning support teachers throughout the middle and high school grade levels - year after year! All About Percents | Flip Book (Math)

Learning about percents can be confusing. Multiply this... Divide that... Change this to a decimal... etc... etc. SO much to remember! With all of that in mind, I created "All About Percents" flip book as a tool both my learning support students and regular education students use in my inclusion math classes, during the ever painful chapter on percents. There are 8 different pages included in this flip book that cover the following topics: - WHAT IS A PERCENT - PERCENT OF A NUMBER - A PERCENT

My students are made aware of our school district's policies at the beginning of the year. They know the rules, and they also know the consequences. Like other teachers, I have my own set classroom rules, but this year I decided to make and implement my own set of classroom contracts. Classroom Contracts are designed to really re-inforce policies I have for my classroom, and to help me improve my classroom management. My Classroom Contracts even have the option of giving my students a voice.

IEP Meeting *sticky note* Reminders

*UPDATED 5/14/19*I have decided there can be months where I don't have any IEP meetings, and then there can be a day where I have 4 in a row! Completely overwhelming and lots of paperwork everywhere... that goes for myself AND the regular education teacher invited to the meeting. Along with delivering the regular education teacher an official invitation to the meeting, I also like to add a sticky note to it - for them to put on their desk calendar or in their planner! I am also guilty of printi

Sometimes remembering when homework is due is suprisingly just so stinkin' hard! My students carry around a binder for every class. So I am incredibly lucky if I can coax them into carrying a planner around, too! - which rarely ever happens. I created Assignment Sheets for my students to keep right inside of their classroom binders! Assignment Sheets are simply weekly sheets to keep track of important tests, projects, homework, etc. They can also list other notes and check off when all assignme

UPDATED 8/30/2020: Now includes link to use in Google SlidesI'm always looking for new ways to check for student understanding. "My Learning Emoji" desk tags are my favorite yet! They were created large enough, so that when taped to the students' desk, I can easily check for their understanding while walking around the classroom. I laminate all of my desk tags and "X"s and fasten velcro to both. Students rate their confidence level in the lesson presented by fastening an "X" in the box that bes
