This Mad Lib is very similar to the others I have created for grandparent's day! However, it does not have a place for them to color a picture. This is great for older grades who are a little old for poems and footprints, but would love something fun and silly to send home to their grandparents. I plan to do these with my sixth grade class to have on their desks when the grandparents come to visit! The students will use adjectives, verbs, and nouns to fill out this Mad Lib. The colors in the hor

This is a great tool for beginning teaching long division and especially long division with decimals. This is an excellent way to differentiate for students who struggle to keep numbers lined up during long division. Included are two templates. The first page is for whole number division including thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones. The second page (in preview) is the same but adds in decimal places to the hundredths. For my students, I print these on colored paper and put them back to back i

This is the same text and layout as the grandparent day mad lib story. However, I had a request for one titled VIP Day for students without grandparents! Such a sweet and thoughtful request from a teacher! I changed "grandparents" to words like special guest a visitors throughout the text, otherwise it is the same!
Thanks!
So many of you have purchased and loved this simple madlib I created last year, and I appreciate your comments SO much! I wanted to update it to a new chevron design since it is so popular. Please understand it is the same mad lib just with a facelift! :]

These are seasons task cards I created for my 6th grade science class. This day I set my smart board timer for 1 minute. The students numbered 1-16 and answered 1 card with their partner per minute. Each time the timer went off, they passed the card to the next pair. This could also be done individually. It was great to hear the partners explain to each other how to tell which season was which since seasons can be especially difficult since their are SO many steps. There are 16 question cards an
Last year I struggled getting the students to learn the difference between independent and dependent variables. I have realized, if I can get them to think about them outside of a science experiment first, it is then easier to transfer the knowledge.
In this file you will receive everything to make an interactive notebook entry as shown in my picture that you can preview. I print the cards on colorful paper and have students match them, and place them on which side they think they should go an
This is a great way to disguise learning and assess students throughout the year! These are great for exit tickets and can be done by asking a simple question about the lesson, having students write something they learned, and I'm sure many other creative responses.
Instagram is gaining population so rapidly, most kids will know how to use these and be excited to caption the picture they draw.
These are best used when laminated with velcro or magnets for students to grab and take to their de

Teachers: This is a fun, easy science experiment to do as an intro or review for density. It is straight forward and easy for students to understand.. Students will make a drink using 3 different flavored juices that have different sugar levels and will not mix! They will love being able to drink their creation!
Included is the lab report worksheet & teacher guide/answer key
*My kids are doing this on Halloween. Why not talk about sugar and get them more sugared up on Halloween? :]
In this powerpoint, you will teach your students about landforms in a fun, creative way that will be memorable for them. The second slide introduces students to the landform dinosaur. They are instructed to draw the dino on their own paper or notebooks exactly as I have drawn. This image can be seen in the preview for this download, except it will be blank, The words will come later in the slides. The next slide will have their first landform, "mountain/mountain range." The slide will show a rea
This is an interactive notebook page that students cut and paste into their notebook. There is a T-chart with 6 pictures to teach students about the two different types of technology used to help people with disabilities. This lesson helps my students by teaching them a part of bioengineering through assistive and adaptive technology while teaching them to be compassionate and empathetic to those who may have a disability or be different than them.

I created this data sheet for students to use while they are observing slides under compound light microscope. The student will write the specimen they observe at the top and the the total magnification. They have a spot to sketch, and write about what they see.
This sheet is perfect for a quick glance of the new 2018-2019 TN state standards for science. This would also be a great handout for parents to show them whats to come this year in science.
This sheet is also available in my editable standard cards to use for daily objective boards. You can find this resource in my TPT store for $3.
I use this template when students are making a short biography of a person. I have used it this year in Social Studies to have students make a short biography of an Egyptian Pharaoh of their choice. I have also used this for Roman and Greek gods. This makes a cute baseball themed bulletin board. I put Egypt's "All-Stat Lineup" at the top of my board this month and included their Pharaoh cards.

This is a fun, easy introduction to SeeSaw and doubles as a first week of school "get to know you" activity.
The download is for the template shown. Click preview to see how it will look filled out.
On your teacher account, click "create new activity."
Download this jpeg as the template for students. I would type simple instructions like: "Use the template to add emojis, texts, and drawings to tell about yourself." Post the activity and be sure to assign it to all the students. Next time the
I use this lab report for almost any activity or experiment we do! I have the students fill out the front of the sheet first, get it checked, and then begin the experiment when everyone is ready! On the front, they list materials, identify questions to be answered, and form a hypothesis. After the experiment students must reflect on their hypothesis and explain what really happened. Students also can draw a little diagram of what happened, and write what they would do differently, or would chang
This is a project for fifth grade students learning the phases of the moon and parts of the solar system. Students are to design a T-Shirt to wear including 10 components of the Lunar Cycle or Solar System. The project includes an instruction page, rubric, and parent letter announcing the project. The project is a powerpoint document that can be easily changed to fit your needs. You can change dates and your name as well as the font you'd like to use. I have included 3 example photos of shirts m
