Students will create Circle Graphs (which they will later turn into hearts) and give them to their favorite teacher in the school. Students will first fill in a decimal/fraction/percent/degree chart using the candy from a box of candy hearts. They will use this information to create a circle graph. This is a quick, simple activity to help the students remember vocabulary for ordered pairs (coordinates). Some of the vocabulary that I focused on was: x, y, input, output, domain, range, etc. This activity only took about ten minutes, but it is a visual way to help (especially the lower students) remember vocabulary words. I put several of the completed pictures up on the bulletin board for display. It really adds creativity to a word wall.
