Students will enjoy being a piece of a beautiful quilt that is created by plotting points and coloring the sections on a coordinate grid. They are to following directions with coloring and plotting. Once all students are completed, the pieces are put together to create a patterned quilt. This interactive is intended to help your students understand equivalent fractions as having the same value, even though they may look different. Your students will each get a pizza with toppings. You will give them a fraction and tell them to put their choice of toppings on that fractional part. Next, you will ask the students to cut their pizza into smaller sized pieces.
