This reading comprehension packet contains questions for the entire book Charlotte's Web. There are 2-6 questions per chapter. I created the questions using 4th grade SOL sentence starters. This contains 5 mini multiplication memory games. Each game is on one sheet of paper. Just print out on colored paper and cut apart. There are 12 matches per sheet. Perfect for partner practice. Student 1 will flip two cards. If student flips a problem and answer that match, he/she can keep the match. Then it is Student 2's turn. Student with most matches at the end wins. Listed is a resource that I made for instruction in a 3rd grade classroom. Students were working on adding and subtracting to find exact answers and estimates. I started in the tens and moved into hundreds and thousands. I used this in a small group setting.

This activity is great for morning work, morning meeting, community building, or for your fractions unit! Student pick words to describe themselves and say what fraction of themselves that word is. They pick a color, fill in their key, and shade that amount of their fraction circle. For example: I am 2/8 kind. Students are provided a word bank, but I also encouraged students to come up with their own words!

Directions (listed in game as well): Form 2 teams. Team 1 goes first and sees what fitness slide they land on. Teacher will give Team 1 a problem verbally. For this lesson students discuss how an organism's niche will change based on how the organism changes over time. Students compare and contrast the niche of a tadpole and frog, as well as a caterpillar and butterfly. Leads to great conversation about what niche means and how an organism's niche will change throughout its life. Based on 4th grade VA SOLs.

For this JIGSAW activity, I assigned students a plant part (stem, roots, or leaves) to read about with a partner. Students then came together with two other groups and shared what they learned about their assigned plant part. Works well with any plant parts articles.
