Teaching style

Margaret and Dawn believe children should be engaged, providing students with lifelong learning skills. We have active, productive, organized classrooms, focusing on differentiating instruction. We keeping current in best practices.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Margaret has received National Board Certification. Dawn was presented the Presidential Award for Teaching Elementary Mathematics. She was also selected the Agriculture Teacher of the Year in the state of Oregon, and a 2019 National Excellence in Teaching Agriculture Awardee.

My own education history

Margaret graduated from San Diego State with a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Studies. She did her student teaching in the Santee School District in San Diego, California and received her Teaching Certification. She received her National Board Certification in Literacy. Dawn received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Education from the University of Nevada Reno. She did her student teaching in Wells, Nevada and received her Teaching Certification. She also received her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
