About the store
I've taught art since 1997. I have experience at all levels, but I have focused at the high school level. I have taught digital arts (graphic design, digital photography, video production, 3D modeling and art for game design) at an art magnet high school since 2004.~ ~ * ~ ~ During the summer, I have taught the high school class at a week long church camp since 2003. During that time I have grown in my faith and am sharing some of the lessons I have written (with the help of the Bible and God of course).

Digital Media NEW Art Standards Posters
This is a set of five 11" X 17" posters for Digital Media using the NEW art standards created by the National Coalition for Core Arts Standards.
Four of the posters are detailed for each of the four focus areas: creating, producing, responding and connecting. They also include each anchor standard and the standards for each level: proficient, accomplished and advanced.

Set of Photography Rubrics: Poster, Handout & Grading Sheet
This set of photography rubrics includes an 11"x17" poster, a letter size handout (good for students, parents and administrators) and a grading sheet that both the student and the teacher complete (photocopy front and back and cut in half).
The rubric has grades at the 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60% levels. Grades 50% and under are noted they will not be graded.

Teaching style
I believe that teaching should be balanced with learning and having fun. So in my class we all know the importance of learning the given assignment, but we also take a few minutes to joke or laugh.~ ~ * ~ ~My classes are 55 minutes long, and usually all of that is in front of a computer screen, so having a few minutes to take a break from the seriousness of the assignments keeps my kids motivated and it gives me a chance to talk with them as a person (not just the giver of knowledge). ~ ~ * ~ ~ The Bible lessons are taught without the aid of any technology (other than a copier). These lessons allow students to share ideas and explore themes that are relevant to the 21st century teen.
