These 2 hands-on centers are perfect to have students sort Long Vowels ai, ay, ee, & ea Unit 1; Lesson 3 of Journeys or any reading program. I created these centers because I felt the Grab-and-Go! Center by Journeys Common Core for Grade 3; Lesson 3 were boring!!!!! I turned worksheets 11, 12, 14, 15, and 17 into a hands-on-center. I recommend you create 2 sets in case you have the children work in groups of 2 at a center.

-These are Vocabulary Words from Journey’s Common Core Reading Series Unit 1; Lesson 1 , but you can use your own spelling or vocabulary words from science, math, etc.

Teaching style
Hands on and kinesthetic approach to teaching. I am one to break away from a textbook to teach hands on activities to introduce and reinforce new concepts to my "ducklings." I am definitely a constructivist- always scaffolding information.
