Have your students show you a character's perspective by allowing them to look through the eye(s) of the character. With these eye templates, students can draw what they think the character sees or their viewpoint on a situation. The students can even do a reflective drawing that shows how a character's perspective has changed since the original drawing was done. This makes a very unique pair of eyes. Experience

I began teaching in February of 2004. I have been a H.S. Intervention Specialist (2 years), 7th Grade Writing Teacher, and I currently teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Social Studies as well as 8th grade Language Arts.

Teaching style

I try to balance fun with learning. I use a lot of hands-on activities in my lessons. I also incorporate Project Based Learning in my instruction.

Recently spoke at the National Middle School Conference and the Ohio Middle Level Association Conference in 2011 on the topic of Technology in the Classroom.

I graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor's Degree in Middle School Education with a concentration in the area of Social Studies and Language Arts.
