The Medieval Roman Catholic Church Unit
This unit on The Medieval Roman Catholic Church walks your students through the beginnings of the church as well as the important role it played in medieval Europe. The design of the unit is a Flipped Mastery unit. Students are given one lesson at a time and take a Mastery Check (Google Form Quiz) at the end of each lesson. Experience
I began teaching in February of 2004. I have been a H.S. Intervention Specialist (2 years), 7th Grade Writing Teacher, and I currently teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Social Studies as well as 8th grade Language Arts.
Teaching style
I try to balance fun with learning. I use a lot of hands-on activities in my lessons. I also incorporate Project Based Learning in my instruction.

Recently spoke at the National Middle School Conference and the Ohio Middle Level Association Conference in 2011 on the topic of Technology in the Classroom.
My own education history
I graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor's Degree in Middle School Education with a concentration in the area of Social Studies and Language Arts.
