About the store
I have taught various combinations of advanced, gifted and onlevel 8th and 9th grade math for 9 years in a middle school environment. After researching Interactive Student Notebooks online, I implemented the concept in my classroom with great success. My students enjoyed building their own ISNs and using them to review for quizzes and tests. No more unorganized binders with loose papers and missing worksheets. Key concepts became easier to identify. Transforming my entire curriculum into ISN format was challenging and time consuming the first year, but the following years only required minimum tweaks.

Writing a linear equation in Slope-Intercept Form given the slope and a point on the line. The topic is introduced by having students find the equation of a line by graphing a line given the slope and a point on the line that is not the y-intercept. Then students are introduced to the algebraic method of finding the y-intercept when they do not have a graph handy. Problems on the additional practice page include horizontal and vertical lines.
