I began my teaching career teaching kindergarten. I enjoyed every minute of my 13 years in kindergarten. Five years ago I looped up to first grade with my entire class! It was the best experience and I highly recommend it. There is nothing like starting a new year with all of the students you have had before. It was a very rewarding year for me. First graders are really fantastic learners.

NYS Common Core Math Module 5 for First grade Smartboard Activities
Math Lessons 1-13 (Topics A-D) In Module 5, students consider part–whole relationships through a geometric lens. The module closes with students applying their understanding of halves to tell time to the hour and half hour. Each daily lesson includes the class warm up fluency game, the application problem that the children will enjoy coming up and trying to solve, interactive concept development lesson, copies projected of the problem sets and an ending game to the lesson. Teaching style
Hands on with many opportunities for the children to read, read, and read. I also LOVE my smart board. I can’t imagine not having one.
