Use this application for any leadership club that you have at your school. This makes the process more exciting for students and helps the sponsors pick who would be a good fit. You could also pull students after applications are submitted to ask a few in person follow up questions. Edit as needed!
Use this step by step model to collaborate with colleagues about students who are exhibiting unwanted behaviors at a high intensity and / or duration. This can be used school-wide so that all staff members are using the same step by step method when implementing behavior management strategies. This step by step method keeps all parties to topic and collaboratively together to find what works best for the student!
Edit to fit the common language that is used with your students. Print, cut, and tape to desk. Use a dry erase marker to give tallies for expected and unexpected behaviors. Create goals with your students (ex: at the end of the period you will jave more expected tallies vs. unexpected tallies) for your student to earn prizes. Use throughout the day or only at times when the student exhibits the unexpected behaviors at a high rate.
Use this behavioral card to give positive 'punches' for expected behaviors you are working on in the classroom or use the card to give negative 'punches' for unexpected behaviors that go against the behaviors you are seeking. Used a quarter at the time. Prints two to a page. Prints front and back. Back as bathroom pass usage but could be used for any type of behavior your are wanting to zone in on.
Each time my students take a math test I staple their notes and work to the test and this slip and send home for parents to skim, sign, and send back. This way parents are not only aware of the child's grade but also the notes and work the student has done to prepare for the test. Then I keep for my own records in case when parent teacher conferences roll around we need to discuss more about a student. Download and change to fit your classroom needs. Print on a bright colored paper and have students fill out all the information besides the teachers comment and possibly missing work. Send home on Fridays for families to review together, sign, and bring back Monday. This helps family stay 'in the know' of what is going on from week to week in a classroom.
