While searching for a way to make the topic of function relevant to my 8th grade students, I created this is a mini group assignment. This project can help to reinforce function relations while incorporating an item of interest to any student: the cell phone.
These task cards can be used for reviewing the concept of GCF and LCM. Cut the cards out, post them around the room, and have students rotate for a certain period of time to each problem. Students should record their work on a sheet of paper. If you would like to make it self checking, have the students add up their answers and see if it matches up to the final total provided.
Happy Reviewing!
This is a study guide station that I created for my students before they were tested on functions. I allowed them to work in groups to answer the questions. About five minutes before station time ended the group were allowed to check their answers before moving on.

Additional biographical information
I love to learn new things and find innovative ways of teaching! I believe that learning should never have a dull moment and that if we work hard to engage students and make what they are learning relevant to them, they will reach their highest potential!
