About the store
I've been blessed to be a mom to many kids, both biologically and through foster care, so "foster love" has become a family motto. I'm currently homeschooling bilingually, but have taught in various settings. I have experience as an Intervention Specialist for grades K-12, an elementary teacher, and an adult ESL teacher. I've taught in a full classroom, a pull-out classroom, an online classroom, in a homeschool hybrid program, and given one-on-one therapies at an educational clinic. My husband is Costa Rican and we lived there for years, so most of my experience is with dual language learners. I have several articles published on teaching special education and have given many seminars on how to teach kids with learning difficulties.

Teaching style

I usually work with students who find learning difficult and have short attention spans, so I like to keep things simple and practical. I like materials that appeal to all the learning styles so students can learn in the way that serves them best. I'm a firm believer in quick, hands-on activities that maximize learning in minimal time so we can all go outside and play.
