The opportunity to author a New Year's Resolution to improve something within themselves and focus upon sharing their gifts and talents in the community can refocus and revive their learning mindset. The student summary or quick write is a narrative, first-person synthesis of the student's anticipated learning concepts. This can be a whole, small, or independent group activity.
