Leperchaun Math

This is a seasonal math addition activity for St. Patrick's Day. This activity contains 2 separate activities. The first activity allows for the random creation of addition problems that will have answers that range between 2 and 12. Students will drag the correct answer to the addition problem into the Leprechaun’s pot of gold. The problems are generated by two flash dice that speak and are part of the SMART Notebook Gallery. This is a counting activity in which the student will count the number of images displayed and choose the correct number. When the correct number is selected the number will spin and a Ta-Da sound showing a correct answer, This activity covers numbers 0-20.

Teaching style

Modified teaching – What this means is that we have simply used different teaching styles as they apply. Teaching should never be static but flexible depending on the situation. But if we had to narrow it down to what our teaching styles are we would have to say Challenge Based Learning/Project Based Learning and Discovery Based Learning.
