Writing a Scientific Argument
In this lesson, students will learn how to use the CER method (claim, evidence, reasoning) to write a scientific argument. In NGSS and STEELS, science and engineering practices are a key part of science instruction. Teaching style
I have found that the most effective teaching strategies put the students to work. Labs, manipulatives, projects, and discovery learning are my focus. Lessons are designed to encourage students to find their own answers. When I use direct instruction, notes are kept short and to the point.
