I believe that students can and should construct their own meaning to find connections between concepts and disciplines.
I am a strong believer in using data (wisely - not blindly) to adjust teaching and address needs. Data sometimes gets a bad reputation. My goal is to show how data can actually serve to improve campus and classroom culture.
One of my favorite things about education is that it is never something that can truly be mastered. There are always new problems to solve, ideas to try, and research to use as we work towards making the world a better place through our interactions with students.
