This is a handout I use with my class the first day of school to review standard rules, routines and procedures, such as my homework policy, behavior policy and everyday routines, etc. Also, there is a section that I start with for the do now, where students develop a goal for themselves, and then after we generate rules as a class, there is a section to copy them down. This resource is great for all teachers, new ones especially, because it helps outline what is expected of middle school

This file is a great resource to use at the start of the school year. It can be given out the first day of school. It includes a parent letter, classroom contract, parent information sheet, and school supply list. It goes great with my other file which I use with students on the first day -- the middle school syllabus. That includes the rules, procedures and routines which i review with students the first day.
