Multiplying Polynomials using the Box Method
This PowerPoint guides students through 4 examples of multiplying polynomials using the box method. The lesson begins by reviewing vocabulary and then goes into an example of a monomial by a binomial. There are two examples of binomials times binomials and the final example is multiplying two trinomials. I followed this presentation by giving students the Multiplying Polynomials Notecard Activity and then having them complete the Multiplying Polynomials Worksheet in their notecard groups.

Product of Powers Foldable
This PowerPoint guides students through creating a foldable for learning their exponent rule Product of Powers. Students should be a given a piece of paper 8.5" x 11". Fold the paper long ways twice and then top to bottom twice so that they have 16 squares when the paper is opened back up. Additional biographical information
My family and I live in North Carolina. I have experience teaching mathematics grades 6 - 12 at the secondary level as well as at the community college level. After graduation from high school, instead of going straight to college, I began working. Throughout my twenties I worked as a waitress, a clerk in a county tax office, on an assembly line, as an Office Manager, and as Human Resources Assistant at a major distribution warehouse. I took night classes and earned an Associates Degree while working full time. I went back to college after completing my Associate's to pursue my dream of teaching. I went on to finish my Bachelor's and then my Master's. I am a Christian, I love coffee and crocheting. I believe in honesty, gratitude, and kindness. I believe that my life experiences give me a true advantage in my classroom and they help me provide my students with relevance, accountability and the value of hard work.
