This packet contains 12 geometry problems that really challenge students. Students must first determine if the problem is asking them to calculate volume or surface area. Then, they need to determine what shapes make up the figure in order to perform the necessary calculations. Students work in small groups of 3-4. They work each of the problems together, one by one. Students are challenged to recall the rules of congruency in corresponding angles, vertical angles, alternate exterior angles, and interior adjacent angles, and apply rules of solving equations to find the missing values. This 2 part activity gives students the opportunity to "plan the perfect breakfast party" while working with percent applications. Students will have to identify the transformation type based on the algebraic representation as they navigate their way through the maze. Transformation types include translations, reflections, and rotations.

This resource was created for practice determining slope/rate of change from tables and verbal descriptions. Upon successful completion, students find slope from 4 tables and 2 verbal descriptions. The maze has the typical trap answers as possibly routes, so students must be careful with positives and negatives, as well as ensuring they don't mistakenly put x values on top of y values in their answer.
