Kurt is a 15-year teaching veteran who got his classroom start as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal. Currently teaching internationally, Kurt has taught in the U.S., Turkey, Singapore, India and Indonesia. Kurt has presented internationally on multidisciplinary education, problem-based learning, and using games in the classroom.

Teaching style

With an undergraduate degree in biology combined with Masters degrees in both secondary education and international development, Kurt combines his educational background with his personal interests and experiences to help shape his approach in the classroom. Certified in both social studies and science, Kurt often bring the two subjects together in an interdisciplinary approach. Frequently engaging students through the use of online games and simulations, Kurt often uses the methodology of both project- and problem-based learning styles.
