I have been teaching high school for nearly 10 years. Before I became a full time teacher I was a substitute teacher for all grade levels and many different districts. I feel like this experience broadened my skills to create lessons for all types of learners. My wife also is an elementary school teacher.

In this lesson students will learn about Richard Montanez, the janitor who created Flamin' Hot Cheetos. The lesson includes a video about Montanez with questions. This might be my students favorite lesson. In this lesson, students take an image with a head shot and put the face on another image. In this lesson, students take an image and make it black and white and then add some color back in. This lesson is similar to the the effect from the movie Pleasantville. This is a great lesson to introduce photo editing basics with the free editing program Pixlr. This is a step by step tutorial and no prior knowledge of Pixlr is required. Teaching style

I love teaching with technology. I use a flipped classroom style. I love that students can access lessons from anywhere. I try to incorporate many cross curricular activities in my lessons. I love lessons that have visual and auditory examples that let students learn at the pace they feel comfortable.

I have a business degree from Kent State University and two master's degrees from The University of Akron in education.
