This lesson uses MIT's block based programming tool Scratch. Students will use Scratch to recreate a song using sheet music. This is a perfect lesson for all users of Scratch and a great introduction to music theory. Advanced students could take the project further by adding animations. This lesson is also perfect for any music teacher. My students love this lesson!

This is a nice introduction and implementation of hex codes and color schemes for graphic design and multimedia. The students will find a color scheme and the hex codes for that scheme, then use those codes to color a coloring page. My students really enjoy doing this assignment. The students really have fun doing this one.

This is a script for a parody of A Christmas Carol called A Graduation Carol. The file is available as a pdf. It is 6 pages in length. It tells the story of a high school senior who is on the verge of not graduating who gets visited by 3 spirits. This is great for any English class or video class. My students filmed the script and played it on the morning announcements. Everyone loved it!

This lesson teaches students how to make a basic vector monster using a free web based vector program. This lesson is great practice for students just learning the pen tool. It is also a great lesson for students who use expensive programs like Illustrator but do not have access at home. This is also a great introduction for teachers who want to start making their own graphics for lessons. This is a great graphic design lesson!

In this lessons students will use the online photo editing program Pixlr Express to create unique compositions. The students' love doing this assignment because of how nice the images turn out. This would be a great assignment for photography students! No experience with Pixlr Express is needed for this assignment.
