This is a predictable routine for students that can gives all students a chance to share about their exciting time away from school in a structured and safe way. As we approach a school year with socially distant guidelines - allow your students the opportunity to still have a soft start to the day, be creative, and learn more about word meanings and the parts of speech through MORNING MAKE IT! My goal in the classroom is to inspire kiddos on a daily basis and show them that the things we're doing in the classroom can transfer to their daily lives - and especially their lives as they grow up! For that reason, it's always bothered me to have class jobs like "door holder" or "substitute" - because that's not necessarily something you can grow up and have as a career. So instead, I've come up with career titles that students could actually grow up to be. Included are 8 jobs (listed below)
