The Outsiders Unit Essay
This is a definition essay for The Outsiders. Students start with a word that is tied in with a theme of the novel. They will write a 5 paragraph essay in which they demonstrate the understanding of the word in the novel, their own life, and the world. Students are making text to text, text to self, and text to world connections through the essay while demonstrating their ability to analyze the novel.
