Differentiation equals success for all. Not every student learns at the same rate and has the same abilities. Learning can occur at many different levels, and it is vital that all students grow as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and learners. I offer different levels of tasks and assessments to ensure success for all students and make myself available to help in any way possible. I will continue to research and create new and better ways of allowing my students to reach their full potential and am always seeking innovative ways to help students succeed in my classroom. Not only do I want them to be successful, but I want them to enjoy learning along the way.
I model the importance of education by constantly furthering my education as well. I am proud to have earned a marketing degree, an early childhood education degree, a middle grades education degree, a master’s degree in early childhood education, a specialist degree in curriculum and instruction, and my gifted endorsement.

Central Tendency & Box Plots Centers with Mean Absolute Deviation
This is a collection of centers that I created for review. There are five central tendency centers, five box plots centers, and five mean absolute deviation centers. Each card has several questions that require calculations and analyzing information. I printed them out on card stock paper and made cards out of them with the answers on the back of each card. This is a great way to review these concepts.

Clue Words
This is a document that will allow the students to know exactly which clue words are commonly used in algebra and which operation matches those clue words. It is very easy to understand this chart, and it is extremely helpful when teaching translating verbal phrases into algebraic expressions. This is also helpful in lower grades when teaching translating a word problem into a math sentence in order to solve the word problem.

Would You Rather? Real World Percentage Task Cards
This set of real world task cards includes twelve different situations that are presented where the students will use percentages to calculate both scenarios to help them decide which is mathematically better. This is a great activity to get students up and moving around the room. The task cards can be printed out and posted around the room. Students can then randomly go to problems to solve. Going in a random order allows students to move at their own pace.

Find the Error - Data and Graphs with Central Tendency and Variation
This is an activity that I created for my students to find the mistake when a student has answered questions from graphs about measures of center and variation incorrectly. I used common errors to help them see the mistakes commonly made. All of my products are common core aligned. This is a graphic organizer that I made for my students' interactive notebook. The students label each part of the coordinate plane and have visual clues to help them. This is a great review before moving on to graphing points, graphing lines, transformations on the coordinate plane, etc.

Find the Error Activities for the Year - 7th Grade Math End of Grade Test Review
This is a book of all of my 7th grade Find the Error activities. In these activities, students are asked to analyze problems that have been answered incorrectly, find the mistake, and work the problem correctly. Where do my Tax Dollars Go? - an activity on government spending

Passing Notes - an Integer Operations Activity
This is a task I created for my students to practice integer operations. I uploaded it as a word document so that you may change it to meet your needs. Math Trail Game - Order of Operations

I taught in elementary and middle schools for 30 years. The last seven years I was instructional lead teacher. More recently, I have gotten certified as a behavior therapist working with autistic children.
