About the store
I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade for the last 8 years. I love teaching and I have always created my own content. I feel I am in a position to help others at this point in my career by putting some finishing touches on my work and getting it out there for other students to enjoy in other classrooms. My style isn't so cute as what may typically seen on TpT, but I do love math and I try to be intentional and thorough when I approach the content. I do have some amazing artist friends though that help keep it cute and original as well!

This Math Activity aligns with 3.NBT.3 and shows students how to multiply 2 digit by 1 digit numbers with base ten blocks as a center. This is a good foundation of the how to behind how the algorithm will work when introduced later and it gives students a deeper understanding of this skill. Each activity is also modeled with an example problem and some parts of the example even include quotes from a typical teacher such as myself that answer common questions a student usually asks so that on level and above students may not need to raise their hand as often to ask you those common questions!

Choose your own Subtraction to Hundreds w Recording Pages
Students will look at 1 of 4 workmats and create a subtraction problem in their grid. Creating their own problems helps students build the understanding that they will need to be putting the minuend on top and that it has to be the larger number. There is a recording page for students to show their work on up to 6 problems per workmat for a total of 24 problems to show on the recording page. Addition to Thousands on a Grid
This will help students get used to seeing a problem written horizontally then showing their work on a grid, which helps them keep their place value organized and in the right place. If students aren't exposed to this, especially when adding a 4 digit number to a 2 or 3 digit numbers they will make silly place value mistakes when stacking that will mess up their answer.
