I love using gallery walks as a way to introduce a topic and get students out of their seats and moving! All you have to do is hang the stations along the wall in your classroom. As I have spent more time teaching this standard, I noticed that students did not have a firm grasp of number lines and that was contributing to misconceptions and errors when adding and subtracting negative numbers.
